Men have an instinct to survive, at all costs. If killing another human being ensures the survival of that man, he will do it. History records sick men turning this instinct into sport. The most successful at this was the Roman Empire. It was a way to generate wealth, as well as gain popularity and political advantage. Emperor after Emperor would host these games where gladiators would step into the arena and fight for their survival. They would fight to the death, in hopes that one day they could earn their freedom from the games.

Today, we spectate gladiators of different statures than those of the past. These gladiators are not armed with shields or swords or spears. In fact, we don't even call them gladiators at all. We call them Dad's now. Yes. And these Dad's fight for their survival in the arena. However, the arena has changed over time. It's no longer a dirt filled, hard ground with blood splatters randomly marking each square inch. No. The arena isn't even called an arena anymore. It's now called a court room. The colosseum is the courthouse and thousands gather in these colosseums all across America each and every day.

You must learn how to fight in the arena is you wish to survive. Don't get cocky. Don't be foolish. The arena has taken many great warriors and crushed them into fine powder. There's a real skill or art to surviving in the arena.

Over the next few seasons, we're going to take you behind the scenes and teach you how you will survive in these games. You will not only win every battle, even when it looks like you didn't win, but you will ultimately earn your freedom!

When we were children in school, we always looked forward to field trips. I would recommend every Dad take a "field trip" to the arena closest to him. Know where it is. Know what it looks like. Know what it smells like. Know how it's set up. And know that it's not designed for you to win. Therefore, should you ever find yourself in the arena, you should know a little bit about it.

Let me show you around.
